Built to be usable by everyone.
An organization about widening access to good judgment cannot have a website that narrows access to itself. Accessibility here is a design requirement, not a retrofit.
Our standard
This site is built to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA. Conformance is checked as part of how we build — not audited once and forgotten.
What that means in practice
- Semantic HTML with proper landmarks, one h1 per page, and a logical heading order.
- Full keyboard operability, visible focus indicators, and a skip-to-content link on every page.
- Color contrast designed to meet WCAG 2.1 AA in both light and dark themes.
- Respect for reduced-motion preferences — all animation is disabled when your system asks for it.
- A dark theme that is remembered, and text that scales with your browser settings.
- Alternative text on informative images; decorative graphics are hidden from assistive technology.
- No time limits, no autoplaying media, no content that flashes.
Known limitations
The contact form currently requires JavaScript to send. If you have JavaScript disabled and need to reach us, the page says so rather than failing silently — and we are open about this being a limitation we'd like to remove.
Tell us what's in your way
If any part of this site is difficult or impossible for you to use, that is a defect, and we want to know. Write to us and describe what happened and what technology you were using. A person will read it, and fixing access barriers takes priority over cosmetic work.
