About Enpath

What Enpath is.

Research, advisory, and training for the responsible use of artificial intelligence in public and organizational decisions. These are the principles and the model that order the work.

The facade of a neoclassical public institution.

Why we exist

Any system can now produce a convincing answer. The hard part is knowing when that answer deserves trust.

That difference decides many of the most important choices for governments, companies, and institutions: which policy to adopt, which system to buy, which recommendation to follow.

Research, advisory, and training so governments and organizations use artificial intelligence on evidence — and so the capability stays with them.

People gathered in discussion at a public meeting.
Responsibility for the decision stays with people.

Principles

Institutional principles.

  • 01

    Evidence over opinion

Every claim comes with its sources, its method, and its degree of certainty. We never present a guess as a fact.

  • 02

    People decide

AI widens what a person can consider. The decision, and the responsibility for it, stay human.

  • 03

    Clarity over sophistication

We write to be understood by a minister and a citizen alike. Needless complexity is a form of opacity.

  • 04

    Thinking long term

We make decisions for the long run, not for this quarter’s result.

How we’re organized

Institutional model.

Enpath is a mission-locked organization funded by its own work — advisory, training, and audits. It’s the model behind organizations like RAND and FGV: diverse revenue funding an independent core.

  • 01

    Funded by its own work

Enpath is funded by its advisory, its training, and its audits. No funder, client, or partner directs the conclusions of our research.

  • 02

    Independent of interests

We work independently of governments, funders, and special interests. When growth or revenue conflicts with the mission, the mission wins.

  • 03

    Built to last

We designed the organization to keep its independence over the long term. Authority is limited by written principles, not by trust in one person.

The team

The work is signed by Enpath.

Publications are authored as an organization. Every significant piece of work has a responsible person, identified to the client.
